We want to share an important update about school buses. Due to temporary staffing shortages related to illness and the impact on service this will have, school bus route 157 will be cancelled at:

  • J F Carmichael Public School
  • Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School

These cancellations will take place on Thursday, January 26 and Friday, January 27, 2023.

We understand the impact this decision may have on our students and their families and caregivers. STSWR does this only as a last resort.

What Happens When a School Bus Route is Cancelled?

Supporting Student Learning

If a school bus route is cancelled, you have two options:

  • Learn remotely asynchronously:
    • Students use their class Virtual Learning Environment (D2L or Google Classroom).
    • Students may access at-home activities on WRDSB@Home or lessons on TVO.
  • Alternative transportation:
    • Families may find another way for students to get to school.
