Dear JF Carmichael Families,

This Wednesday, on the advice from Public Health, a class and some staff members were instructed to stay home to self-isolate.

Please know that our school and the WRDSB works very closely with Public Health and takes direction from them on all matters relating to COVID-19, including how to communicate. Classes may be sent home out of caution as cases are investigated. Sometimes, it can take a few days for a case to be confirmed. If there is a positive case, Public health will determine who high-risk contacts are and will communicate with them directly. If you do not receive any communication from Public Health, your child is not a high-risk contact.

As part of our COVID protocols, our school had increased cleaning and disinfecting this week, including high traffic areas and touchpoints.

We hope this message will provide some clarity and answers to any questions you may have. Please continue to use the self-screening checklist every morning before sending your child to school.

Please continue to reach out to a member of our administration team if you have any questions. As always, we are happy to speak with you and answer your questions and concerns.

Stay well,

Paul Fracas                                            Marcus Hoare
